Our Education Projects
We have done many education projects. Our projects focus on helping rural schools in Sri Lanka with any form of needed assistance, from books to school supplies to cleaning infrastructure and uniforms
School Cleaning Supplies
This school is the Sri Punyakami Vidyalaya, in Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka. They wanted to reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic, but they did not have basic supplies such as hand sanitizers, cleaning liquids and masks. We worked with the Rotaract Club of Panadura (a local charity organization) and provided the shool with a series of cleaning supplies. We also built a sink and hand washing station for the the students to use. This project helped over 100 students.

School Computer Lab
In this project, we helped a school build a computer lab. By raising $3000 and working with local partners in Sri Lanka and the school, we were able to help construct a computer lab and buy a few computers for the school.
The school is Ethanamadala Kanishta Vidyalaya, located in Kalutara North in Sri Lanka. The school has about 100 students.
In addition to the computer lab, the school needed internet connection so that the students could use the computers effectively. We negotiated a package with a local provider and funded internet access. See more here.
School Uniforms
While the idea of school uniforms may be unusual in some countries, in Sri Lanka, all school kids wear uniforms. When the kids are not able to afford uniforms, they are not able to go to school. This school wanted to reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic, but they did not have basic supplies such as school uniforms. We provided uniform supplies for 109 students.
