School Supplies Project 3
In this project, we assisted the Kottegoda Vidayalaya School in Elapatha, Ratnapura. It is a rural school about 10 kilometers from the town of Ratnapura in Sri Lanka, and challenging to access due to the state of the roads. The school has one main building which is divided into five classrooms.

We provided all of the school students' supplies for the 2024 academic year. This included books, pencils, erasers, etc. We also provided Sports supplies - Football, Netball, and Badminton rackets were also provided.

The School
Kottegoda Vidayalaya School in Elapatha is in the Ratnapura district under Sabaragamuwa provinence. Its education zone is Nivitigala under Elapatha Educational division. It offers classes from G1-5. At the time of our visit - the school had 29 students.
Cost effective supplies
Our volunteers sourced high quality school supplies at cost effective prices by consulting with local manufacturers. They then hand-delivered the supplies directly to the students, in coordination with school officials.
